i said yes.

last year today zachary earl lloyd got down on one knee ( for reals this time) and asked me to be mrs lloyd, forever and ever.
not in those exact words but something along those lines.
and i said yes, of course!
it was such a happy day. although we had been talking about it for quite some time, and zach had finally asked my father, which wasnt a quick task.... and the ring was ordered and coming from sri lanka, i was completely surprised when he popped the question.
well besides him flashing gretchen the ring as we left the house that night and hearing a random squeal of delight. lets be clear that i didnt see anything i just heard the mysterious scream and was a tad bit curious.
we were at my favorite spot on campus the gazebo that looks out over the city. he serenaded me with a song on the guitar with that sweet voice of his. he still plays it for me all the time. i smile.
at the end of the song he was suddenly kneeling and holding the most lovely ring and i was giddy giddy giddy!

photos courtesy of kisha kwan. she insisted we go back and reenact it all.
good roommate.

spiritual feast.

conference weekend is really one of my favorite times.
it happens twice a year and i sure do look forward to it.
i am uplifted after listening to these amazing, inspired people share their testimonies with the world.
this weekend was one spiritual feast.
here are some quotes taken from just a few of the lovely talks.

we were happily in st george this weekend.
saturday we went to zion.
zachary had never been!
with the little girls tagging along we didn't do anything too extensive, hiking wise, but we were able to walk along some trails, spend time in the sun... well or the shade and immerse ourselves in the beauty of utah.
we spoke to some people from portugal... whom zach heard speaking portuguese and immediately couldn't resist the urge to talk with them.
can you believe that people from all over come to see these amazing places that we live amongst!
there are some incredible national parks just a couple of hours away from us and neither zach nor i have been to any of them.
 this has got to change.
people if you live in utah, and haven't spent some quality time admiring gods creations surrounding you, join the movement.
(im starting a movement. go to a national park soon movement.)
it will be a good decision. i promise.

o and its been one month today since little haebrie was born!
she is really adorable.
i was scheming a way to sneak her home with me...
her mom and dad wouldn't miss her that much right?

easter sunday.

ah easter sunday.
what a beautiful day it was.
boy am i thankful for my savior jesus christ and his atoning sacrifice he made for all of us.
our ward choir has been preparing a lovely easter program for a bit now, and zach and i were glad to be a part of it.
our choir is legit.

just a mini photo session.... we recently got a new camera. its kinda fun.

after we played around with the camera and used all sorts of random objects to set it on to utilize the self timer mode, we headed off to north ogden.
yummy food awaited us.
along with an easter egg hunt, coloring eggs, and a serious tennis match.
and of course family that we love!
