harry potter. all day.

fall semester i read the harry potter series.

(a little late i know)

i was just stubborn growing up, and although i loved reading, i refused to read harry potter because everyone was doing it…. (probably because its the best thing in the entire world!) 

i can not believe that i missed out on such beauty my whole childhood.

 it took me being a stressed out college student to step into the world of magic and fall in love.

 so its safe to say, walking to and from school reading harry potter and sometimes substituting it in place of homework is what got me through the first half of my junior year. 

its also safe to say, now i am slightly obbsessed. 

thank goodness i have friends who are equally obbsessed. 

samantha and i have been planning a harry potter marathon for some time now. 

we talked and talked about how we would watch all 8 movies in one day, how it would be the best thing ever, and how we would make crepes for every meal, and how it would be the best thing ever. 

the thing is we are pretty good at talking and laughing about our crazy plans, but when it comes to actually carrying them out... thats when we fail a little bit. 

not this time! 

monday april 29th at 11:20ish am the movie marathon of all time began.

19hours and  45 minutes (said the internet) 

we can do it! said the hp participants. 

it was a long day full of laughter, constant harry potter, crepes of all sorts and nerdyness. 

first batch of crepes. by the end of this shin dig samantha was a master crepe chef! notice dumbledore in the background.

zach had lots of studying to do so he couldn't make it to all 20 hours, but he joined us for the goblet of fire!

watching movie six on a baby screen. lost the dvd. staying awake.

                        7:00 am tuesady morning. we made it…. sorta. we were in and out of sleep during movies seven and eight. but. hey it was a good fight! final three. samantha hiding in the back. 

super sorry about the picture overload. but this was way to good not to document fully! what a perfect start to the summer!

freshly cut grass.

happy earth day everyone! 

my earth day moment happened when i was walking home from school today. 

this is when it was a fairly decent temperature outside and i didn't have my hood snug around my face due to the chilly cold wind. 

I was basking in the sun that was shining just slightly, when i heard a wonderful sound, and i smelt a wonderful smell. 

it was the sound of a lawn mower. 

ah that freshly cut grass just gets to me!

 i almost hugged the cute old man cutting his lawn… but i refrained. 

this has got to be a sign that spring/summer is just around the corner and i can soon frolic through that lovely grass with my bare feet! yippee!!

i love the earth.

this trio has been a thing since freshman year of high school.

makenna, and stefani are some of the best friends a girl could ask for. 

in high school we were pretty much glued at the hip. prancing and dancing through the hallways. 

college came, and we went our seperate ways. 

blue and red. 

still besties. 

then the men came into our lives. and we all got married within six months of one another! crazyness.

now we have a pretty awesome group of six.

however our lives are o so crazy and getting together is a little bit of a joke. 

we managed to make it work on sunday with a dinner party. 

it was very much a success! 

homemade chicken noodle soup, salad, rolls, strawberry shortcake. yumm.

the game quelf happened. which had us giggling like crazy.

and to finish it all off, plus i think my favorite part of the entire evening was the photo session.  

of course we had to document the fact that we had indeed gotten together and had a blast. 

we all tried to squeeze onto the couch, plus using the self timer is always entertaining. 

we took so. many. pictures. 

captured a few good ones. 

i dont think i have laughed this hard in a long time.

thanks friends for having a fancy (or not really fancy at all) adult dinner party with us
