when one graduates.

the fact that i have not blogged for practically a decade is sad, to say the least.

i am blaming my lack of commitment to this blog, on senior year, and  all of the overwhelming things that come with senior year.... or i was just lazy. one of the two.

speaking of senior year, it came to an end, like most things do, and with it came graduation.

i completed my senior piece with a little help from julia childs, four incredible dancers, a fifty foot scarf and some chickens. sounds a bit strange... you're saying. it was. a las, i was very pleased with the way it turned out.

and then, i kylie rae lloyd graduated from the university of utah with a bfa in modern dance! this was one of the most bitter sweet moments of my life. i have had such an amazing time the past four years, learning from and with the best of the best in my opinion. dancing up a storm, and just being a crazy college student. when i look back on my college existence i feel very fulfilled!
my classmates of four years. and best of friends. minus a few... who were running late.
sheri loves me even if i did graduate from the u...
best parents a girl could ask for
thanks for all the love and support zachary!

and then they said "kylie, you just graduated from college, what are you going to do next?!" and i said.....

"IM GOING TO DISNEY LAND!"

happiest place on earth

 2014 graduates!

such a fun filled few days, i will always love disney land extra lots. it holds a special place in my heart.

our summer began with a bang thats for sure, and the rest of it has followed suit pretty nicely i'd say.

i am grateful for my education

the official trailer of "Girl Rising"

In a world where education is not received by everyone, where some people would do anything to become educated, I find that am reflecting more and more on what I have been so blessed to have all throughout my life- education.
I am so grateful for the many opportunities I have had to go to school and to learn.
I think its pretty easy to take that for granted in our lives.
at times i complain about going to school, when all I should be, is completely grateful that I am able to be enrolled at a University.
That I have been able to attend school since age four!
Its amazing.
But because of the many who do not have this opportunity, a group of us in the Modern Dance Department are raising awareness for girls around the world who do not yet have the ability to receive an education.
We are performing an improv score around campus throughout this week, and we are also screening the film "Girl Rising" tomorrow night at the Social and Behavioral Sciences building on the University of Utah Campus.
These young girls want nothing more than to go to school and to become educated. I am so inspired by them and their dedication and commitment. I am also so thankful for my education.

take a moment to reflect upon your education and what it means to you.
where has it brought you? how has it influenced your life?

family pictures.

its been practically ages since we've had family pictures taken.
like brynlie was three or something…
so of course we all look very different,
and we have added a very handsome new member to the family (zachary),
therefor it was just time to get some new family pictures done. my mom and i spent a while convincing the fam that this needed to happen.
but eventually we succeeded and they came up for a fun filled five days around the end of august,
for lots of fun…
but lets face it, mostly for family pictures
 which were way fun obviously….
we drove up big cotton wood canyon and the lovely tracy hill photographed us.
(um she's amazing i recommend her for any photography you may need done.)
i think they turned out just wonderfully!

*disclaimer: kasen isn't married… yet. but this is ashely and we like her. and she may be apart of the family someday. so we put her in some pictures,
just like we should.
