"just blog about the summer kylie, and then you can begin writting all about this baby you are growing." these are the words i have been telling myself over and over for some time now. since we have made it to october, i am doing really well on blogging about the summer.....not.
still feels like summer outside to me today anyways so i'm really not doing all that bad right? where are you fall? i want to wear a sweater!
here we go, summer in a nutshell.
the first of june zachary took the mcat down in st george. four hour tests are not my cup of tea, but zach nailed it! what a stud. and he turned 25! yay! veyo pools was a fun way to celebrate on a hot june day in st. george.

25 sure looks good on you. |
We had a fun vacation down in duck creek with the wright clan. we stayed in a beautiful cabin in the mountains, went on hikes, explored, fished, ate good food, played games even had a family baseball game with a plastic bat and wuffle ball. everyone hit home runs! we did an insanely intense puzzle, met a crazy bird that dances and just enjoyed one anthers company. everyone said i was a "bear" on this trip, so i don't know how much they enjoyed my company, but o well. i was in the first trimester.... and those can be hard. i was a bit cranky, and irritable, and anxious and sick on occasion, but i was nice sometimes.... sorry about that family.

zach recently, (as in this summer) became obsessed with hiking, and the great outdoors. well thats a great obsession really, but for this girl who was battling being more tired than i have ever been in my life, hiking up mountains didn't always sound appealing. (growing a human is harder than i thought, especially in those first few months). never the less, our summer was filled with beautiful hikes, a few camping trips, and lots of outdoor adventures.

this is how i felt about most of our hikes... I'm a bit of a bum. |
 |
but the hikes were always so pretty. bells canyon. |

we made it to kanaraville falls! it was a family affair. |
 |
zachs a professional photographer... thats all. |
he loves the outdoors so much one night at about 10 pm he said to me "want to drive up the mountain and look at the stars?" as much as I wanted to climb into my comfy bed, I said sure. it was pretty magical.
another highlight of the summer was sleeping on our mattress in the kitchen. yes, because of the intense heat and lack of air conditioning in our humble abode, we moved our bed onto our kitchen floor. breakfast in bed everyday! (wish i had a photo of this)
we took haebrie to the zoo for the first time and boy does having a little one make things so much more exciting! she was thrilled about everything. i think she liked the walls and the ground more than the animals.... figures.

one of these is not like the other.... |
brynlie turned 8 and got baptized. ah my baby sis is growing up so fast.
sun valley idaho was just as fabulous as always, i was literally counting down the days until we got to escape to our annual vacation. it was a much needed break from work and life. we even experienced a glimpse of winter. i haven't seen hail balls so large in my whole life! watching baby wyatt experience all the fun of sun valley was definitely a highlight of the trip. other highlights included floating/crashing (and don't forget screaming) down the river with zach. like i said before it wasn't all that warm, so we decided to wear sweatshirts... bad idea they were real soggy by the end. i also loved our bike ride through the mountains. i hit the half way mark with this pregnancy and baby l loves sun valley already!

wyatt was pretty content kicking back in the pool. |

huge hail balls. |

brrrrrrr... |
rosie and kenny got married, and due to her photographer not showing up on the big day i shot my first wedding. terrifying really, but so much fun, and i was just glad i could help out. they really are perfect for each other. yay love.
well that sums up our summer.. sorta kinda. it was an awesome one! this is long and probably fairly boring, so i will stop. but i do feel good, now that i have documented a summer to remember.
I want to wear a sweater! Hahaha me too
